Publication policy

     The editorial board on the thematic focus of the collection accepts for consideration manuscripts of original scientific and review works from the main problems of ferrous metallurgy, carried out by employees of the Iron and SteelInstitute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and leading specialists of the metallurgical industry as part of fundamental, applied research and business contracts;

     The activities of the editorial board of the collection of scientific papers are not commercial in nature and focused on scientific support and scientific and technical support for the metallurgical industry of Ukraine.

     In its activities, the editors of the collection of scientific works “Fundamental and Applied Problems of Ferrous Metallurgy” are guided by the following basic principles:

     the editors in their activities are guided mainly by the scientific significance of manuscripts and their value for the development of metallurgical processes and technologies;

     manuscripts containing metallurgical information regardless of the place of work of the authors are accepted for publication in the collection of scientific papers. The advantage of publication is given to manuscripts that are aimed at solving priority future-oriented problems in the development of the metallurgical industry and which present the scientific results of fundamental and applied research in the field of blast furnace, steelmaking, rolling production and heat treatment of rolled products;

     when deciding on the publication of a scientific article, the editorial board of a scientific journal is guided by the reliability of the data presented and the scientific significance of the manuscript;

     the editorial board evaluates the intellectual content of manuscripts regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, origin, citizenship, social status or political preferences of the authors;

     the editorial board guarantees that unpublished data obtained from manuscripts submitted for consideration will not be used for personal purposes or transferred to third parties without the written consent of the author; information or ideas received during editing and related to possible benefits will be kept confidential and will not be used for personal gain;

     the editorial board will allow information to be published if there is sufficient reason to believe that it is plagiarized;

     the editorial board will leave unanswered claims regarding the reviewed manuscripts or published materials, and if a conflict situation is detected, it will take all necessary measures to restore the violated rights;

     a volunteer editorial board provides independent review of submitted manuscripts in accordance with their thematic focus.
